Out here, we are in our element in nature and for the past decade have been exploring, identifying and learning all about the plants and wildlife around our private 240-acre property. Along the way we’ve also learned about the history of this beautiful place. Many friends and guests have visited and learned about homesteading, yurt-living lifestyle, and the history of Jacobsville Sandstone and we want to continue to share our passion for our natural surroundings with others.

Come enjoy this quiet corner of the Keweenaw that we call home. We offer various tours as seasonally allowed, listed below.
Summer Tour: NATURE HIKE, HISTORY AND HERBAL TEA
Join me for a guided hike through the woods, across pasture, and to visit two ponds that hold local historic value, former Jacobsville Sandstone quarries. We meet first at our yurt as a meet and greet and then we’ll head out to explore the treasures of the land. Let’s see where our conversation takes us, be it homesteading, yurt life, history, observing and identifying what nature has to offer, all of these or more! Come enjoy the serenity of our private 240 acre property on this approximately 2 mile, flat-terrian hike. After our hike we’ll visit the homestead livestock residents (rabbits, chickens, ducks, and calves) and then return the porch to enjoy the sounds of nature while sipping on our homemade, locally foraged herbal iced tea.
